Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021. She'll be CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she is in charge of covering all things including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin was the daughter of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast, grew up immersed in the industry. She worked for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations. Through this time, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the spread of coronavirus as well as two different administrations' efforts. Kristin traveled frequently, and both with the president and vice president. She even went on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter prior to joining CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for corporate customers such as Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors of Science in journalism from Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
